Alsatian Pattern Bundt Pan - Orange

Traditionally called Kougelhopf, this is the symbol of Alsace baking, used to make the famous yeast ring cake. The village of Soufflenheim is a village of potters in Northern Alsace where the famous decorated pottery is produced

The handmade Bundt Pan from stoneware features a traditional Alsatian pattern, bringing a splash of colour to your cooking!

  • The Alsatians have used this name from time immemorial, though they still appear to be undecided as to its spelling! But they all agree that the cake is part of a good breakfast or something to eat with afternoon coffee. When a glass of Tokay Pinot Gris or Gewurztraminer is offered, a piece of cake should be offered too. Savoury versions with diced bacon instead of currants can accompany the aperitive. The cake's appearance is due to the high-walled, wavy-shape of the mold
