Quillay Honey - 250g

A beautiful and rare Quillay Honey with a woody flavour of exceptional subtlety, fresh, fruity reminiscent of lemongrass but sweet at the same time with a touch of caramel on the palate. Its colour is amber and its rapid crystallization turns yellow-brown

  • Quillay (Quillaja saponaria) is an evergreen tree of the Rosaceae family, about fifteen meters high, ubiquitous in the central valleys of Chile between the 30° and 38° parallel. Its bark is known under the name of Panama wood but it is its flowers (from October to January) that hold the attention (ours and that of the bees): they appear in pretty white corymbs, the fruit composed of 5 star-like follicles with winged seeds
  • Properties: Honey rich in antioxidants, in fact it is one of the varieties with more antioxidant power. It also slows and prevents cellular aging, helps fight free radicals from UV exposure and pollution, provides quick energy, helps prevent colds and is a powerful aid to the immune system
  • Size: 250g Jar
