Verjus du Perigord is a sweet and floral grape 'vinegar', with a very gentle acidity. The condiment has its origins in medieval France, and is most used in traditional French cooking when lemon juice or vinegar might be too tart

  • Verjus is a shortening of the French words vert jus - literally green juice. It is made from the juice of unripe and unfermented grapes
  • It can be used to deglaze pans and to add a tart edge to fatty foods
  • Ideal for the yeast intolerant because it is not a fermented condiment
  • Ingredients: green grapes juice
  • Keep in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Once opened, refrigerate +2°C and 4°C and use within 3 weeks
