Roquefort l'Arbas AOC cheese is an unpasteurized ewe’s milk, semi-soft, blue-veined cheese from the Midi Pyrenees region with AOC status

Legend has it that the cheese was discovered when a shepherd, eating his lunch of bread and cheese, was distracted by a beautiful girl. Abandoning his meal in a nearby cave, he ran to meet her. Days later, he came back and found the cheese had developed a mould that gives Roquefort its spicy strong flavour
Firm, creamy and deep green-veined, the flavour is rounded without any bitter metallic notes
